淄柴L250系列LNG/柴油双燃料发动机以L250系列柴油机为母型机，充分吸收国内外先进技术和设计思想，在保持其良好的动力性、经济性、可靠性等优点的基础上，设计开发了中速大功率L250系列LNG/柴油适用于气体处所的多点喷射双燃料发动机。L250系列双燃料发动机采用本质设计，天然气供气系统在任何情况下机舱均处于状态；采用国内准内混式燃气电控多点喷射技术。发动机可以根据实际工况切换工作状态，既可以使用LNG双燃料工作，也可以单独使用柴油工作。其通过电子控制单元实现燃气与柴油喷射的比例，使发动机始终运行在状态下，在不影响功率输出的条件下节省柴油。燃油替代率可达到90%。船舶常用工况多为低速大扭矩，双燃料模式下能够满足低负荷加气需求，低负荷工况下10%负荷点可以进入双燃料模式，替代率可达40%以上。排放指标满
